◎简 介
1942年，第二次世界大战如火如荼，此时的日本在亚洲各战场所向披靡，无往不利。在南洋爪哇岛的热带丛林中，一所日军战俘看守所伫立于此，陆军大尉世野井（坂本龙一 饰）和大原上士（北野武 饰）共同管理看守所。大原作风粗鲁，冷酷无情，他对待欧美战俘从来不留情面，而对于那些有同性恋倾向的人更残酷至极。相比之下，相貌俊美的世野则显得绅士许多。英国陆军少佐杰克（David Bowie 饰）潇洒俊朗。他的第一次出现便让世野心有所动。同性之风盛行的战俘营中，几多情感不能自已。在接下来的日子里，两个人徘徊在家国恩怨和个人情感之间，彼此心中进行着辛苦而残酷的角力…… 本片根据英国人劳伦斯·包斯特的小说改编，并荣获1984年电影旬报观众选择奖最佳影片，1984年每日电影最佳导演、最佳影片、最佳配乐、最佳剧本以及最佳男配角（北野武）等5个奖项。
