◎简 介
弗朗西斯卡·约翰逊（Meryl Streep 饰）去世了，留下的遗嘱要求孩子们将自己的骨灰撒在罗斯曼桥。困惑的孩子们翻看母亲的遗物，揭开了母亲生前的一段动人感情。 1965年夏季的一天，主妇弗朗西斯卡送走了丈夫理查德（Jim Haynie 饰）和孩子们，独自做着家务。摄影师罗伯特·金凯德（Clint Eastwood 饰）误打误撞来到这里，向她打听罗斯曼桥的所在。她平静的心起了波澜，于是带他来到桥头。当天的工作结束后，他送她一把野花致谢，并接受她的邀请，与她共进晚餐。第二天凌晨他走后，恋恋不舍的她回到罗斯曼桥，将一张字条钉在桥头，邀请他再次共进晚餐。他再次接受了邀请。两人在罗斯曼桥相会，爱情的火焰在两人心中熊熊燃烧。他请求她随他一起远走，但她割舍不下现有的家人和世俗的幸福。他黯然离开。 十多年后，深爱弗朗西斯卡的理查德去世。又过三年，她收到了罗伯特的死讯。他把大部分的东西留给了她，并要求将自己的骨灰撒在罗斯曼桥。
